Here’s an interesting statistic for those of you thinking of relocating to the Triangle area of North Carolina.

United Van Lines, which actually handles about 30 percent of the household moving market reported that more families, couples and individuals moved into the state of North Carolina in 2006 then any other state.   62.5 percent of all NC moves were attributed to inbound relocations.   South Carolina and Oregon followed North Carolina, while Michigan and North Dakota were tops in outbound migration.

The Triangle includes our many wonderful cities and towns.  I know them all well and can assist you in buying or selling your home here.   Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Raleigh, Cary, Apex and Hillsborough all have the great quality of life that we have come to treasure here.

Relocating to Chapel Hill

Wednesday, September 6th, 2006

I am one of the many lucky transplants from the Northeast that now call the Triangle area of North Carolina home.  I grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut and thought I would live there all my life.  But after working through many winters as a realtor in Darien and New Canaan, I started to think that a move to a warmer climate might be a good idea.    Now I’ve lived here with my family for over 15 years.

Many of us relocate for different reasons - a new job, a gentler climate or retirement.  After you make the decision to move, the most important choice is your realtor.  As a Chapel Hill realtor with over 20 years of experience, I know the area extremely well.  I have the professional designation of Certified Relocation Professional (CRP).  This means that I have the special skills necessary to make your move a great success.   I can help you navigate the choice of towns here in the Triangle.  Cary, Raleigh, Durham, Chatham County and Hillsborough are all close to Chapel Hill and have wonderful homes and neighborhoods.

If you are thinking of relocating to North Carolina, call Reg Morgan and start making plans today.  Take a look at the current MLS listings.

Wake County Schools Go Year Round

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

Wake County School Board voted 8-1 to convert 19 elementary schools to a year-round calendar.   Wake County is expecting 5,000 additional students next year, and conversion to a year-round plan is expected to help schools manage the influx.   This is a controversial plan - heated arguments have gone on for months as the board has haggled over a decision.  The board will vote on September 19th on whether they will also convert 6 middle schools.

As a realtor in Wake County, it’s important for me to know about the latest news for schools here in Raleigh, Apex and Cary.  If you are interested in buying or selling a home in Raleigh, Cary or Apex — anywhere in Wake County — call Reg Morgan.  As a realtor with over 20 years of experience, I can guide you through your next real estate transaction.

Cary Real Estate Sales

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Cary, North Carolina is a small great city and once again Money magazine has proven it.  Ranking Cary as #5 on it’s list of Great American Towns.   I agree!  Cary has beautiful homes and great neighborhoods.  Money Magazine says this about Cary:

“People come to the Research Triangle area for opportunity. They settle in Cary because they can’t believe how pretty the place is. More than 30 parks and greenways dot the region, and regular arts and crafts festivals bring tens of thousands to the downtown area to browse. And, of course, there’s plenty of culture in nearby Raleigh. Cary residents don’t lack for jobs. Software maker SAS is based here, and about 50% of its 10,000 jobs are in the area. The city also has one of the country’s lowest crime rates.”

Take a look at some of the great homes listed in Cary here on my website.  Call me if you’d like to take a look at some of the Cary homes for sale.  As a Cary Realtor with over 20 years of experience, I can show you why Money Magazine ranks us so high!
