Triangle Home Prices

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

The News and Observer reported today that Triangle home prices continued to rise faster then the national average in the second quarter of 2007.   Raleigh Cary home prices rose at a 7.08%rate, while Durham homes rose at 5.38%.  The national rate was far lower at 3.19%. Good news for us in the Triangle, but we are also affected by the slower national market.   Close to 25% of our local sales are by transplants relocating to the Triangle.   With many of them having a harder time selling their homes, the problem trickles down to our market.

But still, very good news for Chapel Hill home buyers in the midst of many glum news reports. Call Reg Morgan if you have any questions about our local real estate market.
