Carolina North Update

Monday, June 25th, 2007

The plans for Carolina North are starting to take shape.   A series of community meetings ended last week, with more concrete information from the University about the plans taking shape there.   After the last meeting a final document was posted to the website that, while lengthy, contains  some valuable  information on plans that are taking shape.

Many issues are still up in the air — pardon the pun!   The Horace Williams airport, which the University’s Board of Trustees would like to close, is still facing opposition and that plan has  still not yet been confirmed.   The state legislature is still in discussions and hearings on this.  Among the issues are the future of AHEC and the concerns of area pilots.

Contact Reg Morgan if you have questions about Carolina North or any other area of Chapel Hill real estate.   Many neighborhoods that border this area are rightly concerned about the increased traffic, construction, etc.   Consult someone with over 20 years of experience in buying and selling real estate - your Chapel Hill realtor, Reg Morgan.   In addition to my broker credentials, Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), I am a NC licensed real estate appraiser.  So I am able to clearly identify issues which may increase or decrease the value of your real estate transaction.
