Have you been to Carrboro lately?

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Carrboro real estate has always been of great value.  The mill houses in the center of town routinely fetch among the highest prices per square foot in all of North Carolina.  But recently there have been even more improvements to our great town.

In addition to the new shops that are cropping up, the Farmer’s Market starting up soon and the increased parking near the Open Eye and Neal’s Deli (THANK GOD!), there is a great map from Walk Carrboro.  If you have not picked one up, call or email me and I’ll send you one, because it is the most fun brochure for a town that i have seen in a long time.  And ask my wife, I LOVE maps!  I love what Kirk Ross is doing over at the Carrboro Citizen - it has become a local must read with a great website and paper presence.

Carrboro High is having a great year too, both for academics and athletics.  So call Reg Morgan, your Carrboro realtor if you are thinking of buying or selling Carrboro real estate.  In these wild real estate times, you need an expert to help you navigate the market.  And I am the Carrboro real estate expert!

The Chapel Hill - Carrboro School district has released information on the SAT scores for our three high schools and the results are great.  Once again, East Chapel Hill High leads the way with the highest SAT scores in the state.  Carrboro High and Chapel Hill High are ranked third and fourth respectively of all the non-charter high schools in North Carolina.

For more information on schools in Chapel Hill or our surrounding towns, contact Reg Morgan. Schools are a huge part of why people move to Chapel Hill and why they stay!  You need a realtor who knows the details on all facets of life in Chapel Hill.  Reg Morgan can help you with your move within Chapel Hill or your relocation to our area!

There certainly is a lot of doom and gloom after last week’s stock market slide.  But we remain cautiously optimistic about what this year holds for the real estate market in Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Durham.  Although the job market has taken some rough shots, many other companies have made plans to increase or move employees to the Triangle.  Witness the Blackberry/Rimm jobs that are coming down the pike!  RTP and our universities still are strong economic engines that drive our local Carolina economy.

If you are thinking of a move now is the time to start talking to your real estate agent.  Start clearing out your home, let me make a marketing plan that is taiilored to your home and your niche in the market.  Using the internet, social media and of course, good old fashioned contacts will get you the best price and a rapid sale.

Call Reg Morgan and let’s start our conversation.  You can’t sell your home, you can’t move and you can’t make plans unless you jump in!!
